When choosing a wedding dress there are so many different styles and silhouettes. I know going to a wedding dress boutique can be a bit over whelming especially if you are not sure what style you would like. Each silhouette looks best on different bodies, so I will help you get a better idea of what will work best for you.
First is the ball gown which is perfect for the bride who wants to feel like Cinderella. Ball gowns should be worn by a shorter bride. This silhouette is big, dramatic and poufs out before it hits the ground.
A-Line is the most common and can look great most body types. This style angles out directly below the waist. Similar to a drop waist a modified A-Line grazes the hips a bit more.
Trumpet silhouettes have skirts that hug the hips and then flow out in the shape of an A-Line around mid thigh. This style accentuates your shape without being to tight.
Mermaid style has somewhat been replaced by the more forgiving trumpet fit. With the Mermaid silhouette it is much tighter and perfect for those who want to draw attention to their hips, thighs and rear. This shape has a tighter skirt through the knees and then flares out.

What's happening at the boutique?
This week is busy at Soiree I am working on some bachlorette party invitations, finishing up proofs. Tonight I am meeting with the Prokopets from Prokopets Studio to chat weddings. I am also brainstorming details and setting up meetings for a bride. I am so excited for all my 2010 brides and cannot wait to share in their day.
