Here Comes the Men

When planning all the details for your wedding day don't ever leave out your groom and his men!! Let your grooms true style show. There is nothing more refreshing then seeing the groomsmen and groom rockin' anything but the typical black rented tux.
It is becoming more common for them to don a vest and bow tie or get custom made suits. Whatever your man chooses it will be a great way to incorporate a bit of his personality.

Happy Anniversary: Forage

We are nuts about bowties and we have done many features about Forage Bowties and today we want to say HAPPY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!! We are honored that they would choose the Bustled Blog to host their giveaway.

We are giving away the Emerald Gingham Bowtie!!!!

We are a bit obsessed with this funky green tie, but as a sucker for packaging we are literally dieing over their boxes and tags.

Ok, so here is the low down. Pop on over the Forage site and then comment here and let us know which bowtie you would love to see on your man and why he deserves it.

*For an extra entries tweet this "I entered the @FORAGEbowties giveaway on @bustledesigns blog. Did you?"

*For one more entry add the link to your Facebook and make sure to tag Bustle Events, so we can make sure to see it.

The last day to enter is Wednesday July 27th!!!

If You Like Him Put a Bow {tie} On Him

I am not sure if you all have heard of Something's Hiding Here, but they have launched a bow tie line Forage and I am drooling. This line is perfect the groom who wants to make a statement.

Slip This On

Grooms are often forgotten when it comes to fashion for the wedding day. A lot of people just throw on a rented tux and call it good. But I beg of you, please let your groom show his style even if its only with his shoes.

Tie Me Up

Bow ties are a personal favorite of mine. Something about their boyishly eclectic charm gets me every time. I've begged my man to wear one to one of the seven {count 'em: SEVEN} weddings we're attending this season, but he just won't do it...

If your guy is a bit more flexible, check out Forage Bow Ties! They'll be making their debut at San Francisco's Curiosity Shoppe at the end of the month!

Grooms with Style

Gone are the days of a regular old rented black tux with the vest and tie to match the bridesmaids. I have fallen in love with the NEW grooms with style. Anything goes, Grooms are walking down the aisle wearing their very own style and it is giving the groom a chance to showcase himself and his men will no doubt be very stylish as well. Check out what these men wore.

And check out this stylish bridal party!!!

What's Happening at the Boutique?

This weekends wedding was completely gorgeous. The bride and groom were so picture perfect and fun. I really enjoyed being a part of there day. I cannot wait to share the pictures with you. I was lucky enough to have my good friend and super talented Christine Taylor there to shoot all of my details. Happy Monday!!

The details are in the Boutonnieres

Because I am a detail girl I feel as though the boutonnieres are just as important as the bouquets. The details of boutonnieres can really set your wedding a part.
Check out these gorgeous boutonnieres!
How fun are these?

Handsome Groom and Groomsmen

I love seeing a man cleaned up for a wedding, I swear it is one of my favorite things. This year grooms and groomsmen are getting creative and I love it. Say goodbye to the days of black tuxes with matching vests. If you want your wedding to different from other weddings do something daring with your men's attire. If being daring isn't your thing at least choose a tux that has a pinstripe or something to make your wedding unique.
My suggestion to brides is to have purchase ties for the groom and groomsmen to wear the day of the wedding. Purchased ties look so much nicer than the fake things the tux shop provides. These ties can be part of the groomsmen gifts. Or add suspenders....

Check out these chic groomsmen! Which is your fav?

Friday Detail Day...

One of my favorite ways to add a detail is to create a one of a kind boutonniere. Boutonnieres often over looked and most people just end up doing a simple rose. There are so many ways to incorporate the events style and theme by choosing an original flower and cohesive accents. Always remember to not over do them and keep them small.

I just had to post some of my favorite boutonnieres. Let me know what you think!

Dressed to Kill

I hardly ever see any information on dressing the men for the wedding so, I decided to take a minute and talk about the men. If you are like me the tuxedo vests and ties do not cut it. I love men's ties. So to me it was important to have the men where real ties and not the rented ties. I decided to give them the ties as part of their groomsmen gifts. I wanted them to all wear the same paisley print, so I got the grooms men black and silver paisley ties that coordinated with their pinstripe tuxes. Then I got my groom a white paisley tie and the users champagne paisley ties.

I also love the look of each groomsmen wearing a different print tie but all in the same color. If you pair a beautiful tie with a simple plain vest it will add a classic elegance to your wedding.

I have found an amazing site for men's ties. The Tie Bar is a perfect resource to find ties in every color and style you can think of. The Tie Bar makes shopping for ties super easy. You can search by color, pattern, style or by matching to the color suit you have. They also offer extra long, skinny and boys ties. Each tie is only $15 no matter what. Also they offer shirts, cuff links, ascots, bow ties, and pocket squares.
Make sure to check them out!
