Bridal Market
Last week was bridal market where designers reveal their 2012 gowns. I just had to share Vera Wang's new beauties. I love the flowing soft fabrics and the silhouettes.
Dressing Up Again
I was married more than five years ago and adored the "look" I chose for myself as the bride... and yet as I stepped into the role of bridesmaid extrordinaire this year and watched my dear friends shop for perfection in the form of a white gown, I couldn't help but wonder what I would choose if I were given a repeat go-'round in bridal bliss.
This week is officially the holiday season so today I am pretending it's 2005 again, but with my personal 2010 holiday style. Why not, right?

I love traditional high (as in extra high) heels, but right now I love the look and comfort of these boots even more. A fine surprise covered by chiffon, yes please!

...and while picking up the boots at JCrew, I would gladly add this mustard scarf to the mix. Color is a must for me and the deep hue and soft cashmere make it extra appealing.

This ivory gown is gorgeous. Structured detailing at the top with an effortless flowing skirt. Love it. Reasonable price tag for a custom fit: $1695.

I'm a sucker for big earrings, and for $38 at Anthropologie, these are a bridal bargain.

Brides and Belts
One of my favorite new trends would have to be brides wearing belts. The belts give your dress a more unique feel and you could tie in any color you want. My favorite would have to be the black belts I love the thought of bringing dark to a soft romantic white dress. You can find many beautiful handmade options on my fav etsy!!!

If you are living in or planning on visiting New York to pick up your wedding dress then make sure you plan sometime to visit the Lovely Bridal Shop. This adorable little shop boasts some of the most unique and hard to find designers. This bridal shop is more like and indie boutique than a stuffy bridal shop. Check out a few of their amazing designers, did I mention they also sell Ban.do accessories. Check out their website and blog!!
These bridesmaids dresses are gorg, right?

Here is a bit of thier unique bridal gown selection.

Haute Jewels for a Haute Bride
I recently popped in to Haute Bride in San Francisco to pick out a few dresses and jewels for your photo shoot tomorrow and all I can say is I am still drooling. Not only are thier jewels, dresses and veils gorg the ladies behind the counter are simply devine. I had to pick up a cocktail ring for myself because it was screaming my name. Please check out their blog
{Haute Bride Blog} and pop in their store for a real treat.
Here are a few images from their recent photo shoot.

What's In Your Pocket?
I have slight addiction to pockets, so of course I am loving the new pocket trend. I mean can you really go wrong with pockets on a wedding dress? I think not but I would love to hear what you have to say. Also, loving it on the bridesmaid dresses as well.

Coming Soon: Anthropologie Wedding Dresses

Yes that is right one of my favorite stores is coming out with a bridal brand. In spring of 2011 Anthropologie will unveil it's bridal line and I for one cannot wait. This Bridal brand will be it's own independent brand. This brand will adopt a similar aesthetic to the highly recognizable Anthropologie label.
The brand will offer wedding gowns which will retail for $1,000-$5,000, bridesmaid dresses, fine jewelry, shoes, fresh flowers, and invitations.
I cannot wait to see what they come up with.
What's Happening at the Boutique?
This weekend was so much in Napa Valley wine tasting and celebrating a good friends bachlorette party, but now I am trying to catch up on all the work. I have a phone meeting with a bride and a florist. I am creating a shower invite and making tags for a brides favors. As well as working on some design details.

What's Happening at the Boutique?
This past weekend I meet with my favorite florist. We finalized the floral for a winery wedding. I am so excited about this wedding and the bride and groom are so sweet. Today I have back to back meeting with two new clients. I am so excited to meet the women I have been chatting with. I am also finishing up a few invitation samples. Yesterday a bride and I finished up the addressing and assembling of her invites.
