I love packaging and so why not carrying it into your wedding. Like lovely little yummy treats served in a shot glass. Nothing beats a pie in a shot glass!!

Just Desserts for Fall
Sorry for the lack of post yesterday I was out all day styling a super sweet shoot! But now I'm back!
Keeping with our fall inspiration week, I have some fall treats that will make your mouth water. There are so many yummy bites you can share with your guests. If you have a favorite fall dessert think about incorporating it in your wedding. Also, a fall themed dessert buffet can be stunning and inviting as well. The warmth of a sweet dessert can make your guests feel welcome. I love using mini pies, cookies or a fall inspired cake.

After Dinner Delight
Need a perfect treat to be served after dinner? I came across this great idea for ice cream in a frozen shot glass. Perfect for a sweet summer wedding, you can create the sundaes to fit your wedding theme by using chocolate, caramel, strawberries ect.
HAPPY MONDAY!!
The Understated Cake
I know last week I posted about desert bars, but I have to say I think I am having a hard time doing away with cakes completely. I am in love with the simple and understated cake. There is something so sophisticated and elegant about a simple cake with very tiny details. Check these out.

Delectable Decor
The standard wedding cake has a battle on it's hands with a tough competitor. Taking it's place is the wonderfully styled dessert bar and how could one resist when it can offer so many choices. Plus the pure beauty of some of these delectable desserts is also not helping. How many of you are serving a desert other than cake?

Have your Cake and eat it too....
Dessert buffets are all the rage right now. I love the design element they bring to a wedding. I mean really can you get any better than a whole table filled with sweet treats to choose from?
Check out these amazing dessert buffets. I would love to know which is your fav. I cannot wait to put one together for one of my August brides.

Eye Candy: Apple
Eating a candy apple bring back so many childhood memories. Candy apples are fun comfort treats for the soul. Winter weddings are great for offering candy apples instead of a full desert bar or offer them to your guest while they walk out the door for a little midnight snack.
I love the below make your own caramel apple station. See the basket of apples and the caramel in the back left corner?

This couple used the caramel and chocolate covered apple to lead guests to their tables.
Have a wonderful day my gorgeous brides and a fantastic weekend.

What's Happening in the boutique?
I decided I would end my posts with an inside look at what is happening here at the Soiree boutique. Much like a behind the scenes look at Soiree.
Today I am working on cutting and printing Save the Dates for a wonderful brides. I am also designing and printing my own daughters first birthday party invites. Tomorrow I am off to Sonoma with a bride to show the groom a wedding venue they are interested in. Sunday I am off to Auburn with such a sweet bride of mine to check out her wedding venue and brainstorm ideas for design. I love this crazy wedding season and I adore all my lovely brides.

The Perfect Little Bakery
A few weeks ago I had the honor of interviewing Toni Chiappetta the owner of Sweetie Pies in Napa California. As I pushed open the screen door the sweet smell of baked goods tickled my nose. I knew I was in heaven. As I waited at a quaint table for Toni to come out from the back I sipped an amazing cappuccino. The place was packed with people eating lunch and indulging in sweet treats while sipping warm beverages.
Toni came out and was just as sweet as her creations. I chatted with her for a while and discovered that Toni had always loved desserts ever since she was a little girl, so it was only natural that she open a bakery when the time was right. She started by working out of a very small apartment kitchen and after only a few months her business was booming.
I decided to ask her questions to help out my lovely brides..... your welcome!
Sweetie Pies does one on one cake tastings by appointment only Monday through Saturday at 11:00, 12:00, 1:00 or 2:00. At these tastings you will sample there most popular unless you have anything specific in mind. I decided to take one for the team and do a standard tasting for you.....my job can be so difficult right?
I first tasted a white cake with vanilla custard filling and fresh mixed berries. This cake was phenomenal. The cake was so light and moist I could not get enough. I later found out that it is there most popular non chocolate cake.
Next I tasted the chocolate fudge cake which consisted of chocolate opera cake with chocolate mousse filling and an amazing chocolate fudge frosting. The flavor was rich and creamy I think I am in love!!!
The very last cake I tasted was a fabulous take on strawberry shortcake and I am telling you it was delicious. This was my most favorite. It was a yellow cake with mascarpone mousse and fresh strawberries. Truly this cake is to die for. You must try it!
Toni informed me that they do deliver and set up the cake for free in Napa and for a small fee in other locations. She also mentioned that they offer a wide variety of desserts if a bride is looking to do a dessert buffet as well.
She also suggested that brides come to their cake tasting with an idea of the look they want and flavors they are interested in tasting.

Thank you Sweetie Pies for your incredible sweet treats.
Please stop by Sweetie Pies if you are in the area and pick up one of there killer desserts and enjoy a D*lish coffee.
