Wow this week is flying by as I am trying to accomplish so much. Tomorrow I am heading out bridesmaid dress shopping with one of my brides. I am also in the process of sorting through all of my receipts and recording my companies finances in my new program. I am so excited to have everything in one place and much more manageable. Also I am so excited about a few new exciting things I am embarking on. I promise I will keep you posted on that. Lastly as always I am working up proposals and placing paper orders and designing Save the dates and escort cards.

Have your Cake and eat it too....

Dessert buffets are all the rage right now. I love the design element they bring to a wedding. I mean really can you get any better than a whole table filled with sweet treats to choose from?

Check out these amazing dessert buffets. I would love to know which is your fav. I cannot wait to put one together for one of my August brides.

Kick it into High Gear:: Glimps

Well spring and summer 2010 brides it is now time to kick it into high gear. By now you should have chosen your ceremony and reception venue, meet with and chosen your florist, DJ, cake maker and photographer. Your invitations should be the next thing you start thinking about and working on. I always suggest brides get a jump start on their invitations so they don't get into a time crunch.

If you do not have a planner or designer start thinking about the details you are going to want to incorporate into your big day ie. menus, escort/place cards, favors, decor, programs and any other special pieces.

To help inspire you have a chosen a few of my favorite details.

P.S I have a stunning real wedding to share with you tomorrow I am so excited. This wedding brought a huge smile to my face. Here is a sneak peak!

Have a great day!!!

Add a little sunshine

I wanted to brighten up your winter and be the light at the end of your tunnel today. I love when yellow brings light to a white wedding. It can be so elegant when done correctly. I just adore these yellow details. What do you think about yellow in a wedding palette?

Something Sweet

So, I am still down in Socal visiting family and yesterday I had the pleasure of finally visiting the Sweet and Saucy shop in Long Beach California. I had the hardest time deciding which treats to bring home. I finally decided on a vanilla cake lollipop, a candy bar cupcake, a pumpkin cake lollipop, a chocolate peppermint cupcake. Each and everyone was a little slice of heaven and D*lish.

I wish I lived closer to this amazing bakery. I did find out that for brides that do not live in SoCal they do ship there amazing sugar cookies which make perfect favors and can be customized to fit your wedding theme and colors.

This Tops it all....

Happy Friday beautiful brides. As you all know I adore Esty and love supporting small businesses. I was recently Searching Etsy for some cake toppers and I love what I came across. Cakes are an edible extension of your wedding so you must keep it in line with your theme and colors the same goes for the topper. I love the traditional toppers of the bride and groom as well as the newer modern toppers with a monogram or a fab set of love birds.

Which is your favorite?

Please Take Your Seat....

Happy almost Friday my gorgeous brides. Chairs at a wedding are so important. They should look inviting and they can really make or break your wedding design. If you do get stuck with less than beautiful chairs there are ways to cover them or accessorize them. I have done some research for you and found some perfect ways to "dress up" the chairs you have. Please let me know what you think of these and or share some of your own ideas.

In this first one a sash was created out of the two wedding colors and then tied in a bow around the top of the chair.

You can also use flowers to create a wreath to hang of the back.

Another option is to run ribbon through the back and let it hang vertically down the back.

This style works with any style you can add flowers in instead of the bamboo or hang a crystal from the center of the knot.
Or you can choose to rent couches instead of chairs for a more welcoming warm feel. Though this could get expensive it might not be much more then renting chairs.
