Another Feature

Pop on over to the Wedding Chicks blog and see our feature!! I was thrilled when Alison over at Engaged & Inspired called to ask me if I wanted to design a photo/ video shoot with her. We designed the details and paper for this adorable little Save the Date video. Thank you to all who participated especially Silber Studios for the videography.

Vintage Key Inspiration

Ever since I was a little girl I have collected vintage keys, each key seems to hold so much history. There are so many places to incorporate vintage keys into your event. I especially love the presh save the date.

Inspired by Paper {Rustic Elegance}

I am totally inspired by this save the date. It screams rustic elegance. I decided to use this save the date to inspire a wedding. I love the regality of the Italian plume paper that the wording is layered on. This save the date is for sale in our Etsy store. Our save the date lends it self to a chic classic affair or a elegant rustic fling. I have created an inspiration board that is a little outside the box and I am loving it.

Black and White Inspiration board

I love the drama created by contrasting colors. Black and white are so classic and elegant. I put together this inspiration board filled with details from my own wedding. The great thing about black and white is they are great colors on their own or you can add in any color for a more contemporary look.

Save the Date

Make sure you send your save-the-date cards as soon as you have booked the location, especially if the wedding date falls on or near a holiday or school break. {Caution} Make sure your budget will accommodate all the guests you plan to invite. You can always send and invitation to a guest you did not send a save-the-date to, but you cannot send a save-the-date to someone and then choose not to invite them.

Here are some fabulous save-the-date ideas.

Arrivederci.......

I wanted to share with you an invitation I recently created for a goodbye party for a couple that is moving to Rome. This was printed on cream card stock and held together by a copper brad. I wanted a rustic Italian feel to the invitation. I can add an engagement picture to the cover instead of the Rome image to create a save the date or wedding invitation.

Please contact me if you would like a sample made for your special event.

Green with Envy

After deciding to put together an apple green inspiration board, I fell in love with the color. I just can't get enough of it. I came across some fabulous ideas for centerpieces and I love the shoes, they are perfect. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Hot off the press

I am in love with this Italian Bertini Plumes Fine Paper so I just had to do more with it. This is a save the date that would work well for a fall wedding. It is made with the fine paper as well as sparkly brown and cream card stock. I can also create the wedding invitations, escort cards and menus to match. Please let me know what you think!

{P.S.} I am working on some baby shower invitation samples I will be posting soon. Also, I am working on an inspiration board for the upcoming wedding I will be designing.

Some more samples of custom invites

Below are some sample invitations I have made. They can be altered to fix your specific event.

This is a wedding invite for a simple and chic organic wedding. The couples color pallet is full of neutral colors, so I kept the invite simple.

This 50th wedding anniversary invitation is made with a cream color printed first layer, followed by a colorful plume printed second layer. The bottom layer is a sparkly brown with bits of gold. This is one of my favorite invitations and can be printed for a save the date or wedding invitation.

More to come. Please contact me with any questions or to order any invitations.

A Vintage inspired wedding

I thought the best event to start with would be my very own wedding. I designed and executed everything for my wedding. The inspiration for this event was a mix of old Hollywood glam and classic elegance.

This wedding took place at the Palmdale Estates in Fremont California on August 3rd 2007.

The photographs are courtesy of Christine Taylor Photography (I highly recommend her for any occasion).

The event began with this save the date

The menus were created and printed by me the owner of Soiree

To create an over the top feel chandelier crystals were hung over the bar.

This was the brides bouquet complete with white ostrich feathers

The Bridesmaids bouquets complimented the brides with black ostrich feathers.
Black ribbon and vintage buttons tied it all together.
